Morning Jacket. When you coerce a record, you want to deliver something that's active to be satisfying every time you hearken to it — so there's a certain mass of perfectionism. International news.

A: We're tough to do it all live. Even the vocals. You know, the old Motown refinement of just in fact playing the song over and over and over again until you get a take when everybody felt the spirit.

The leading two records for us were construction blocks, where you present down the drums, lay down the bass, assemble a wall of vocals over it. Starting with “It Still Moves,” we've always tried to found the nucleus tracks complete and then overdub vocals. When you enact a record, you want to deputize something that's going to be filling every time you listen to it — so there's a a sure thing amount of perfectionism.

We're bothersome to go for a certain amount of (perfectionism), but at the same time, you get a shoplift that has the spirit in it, that still has a brace of mistakes, that's better.
