High Voltage is unobstructed whether or not cameras roll, and if Kat isn’t there, you’ll still be amused watching way-too-hip fact TV stars/tattoo artists hang about over apt bodies on padded tables behind red velvet ropes.
Nervous first-timers (including grandmas!) stand by on a day-bed crafted from a hot-pink casket near a sea-robber ship-like vernissage desk. A monster crystal chandelier hangs skyward dripping with red tumbler Jesuses that mien relish chili peppers. A figurine of verdant Kermit dressed as the "Little Tramp" perches atop the main exit minaret of The Jim Henson Co., whose Muppet-making empire now occupies the red-letter Charlie Chaplin Studios built in 1917. A life-size painting of the earnest "Little Tramp," Chaplin, makes it appear as if the comical great is presentation a door of the English-style hunk shack below.
